The Canal du Midi series is
my newest work and is concurrently being created. It will include over 10 pieces.
The series is inspired by the tranquil
beauty of the 350-year-old Canal du Midi in southern France. My husband and I took a
week-long barge trip in 2004, boating down the Canal. We spent time walking in the ancient
villages along the Canal, studying the architecture and enjoying the beauty of the gardens
in the area.
